Job Description:
Affinity, Inc., Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Business Analyst – Media BI, responsible for analyzing and evaluating business problems and developing system recommendations to meet requirements. Interviewing end users to obtain the detailed business requirements for projects. Working with SMEs to determine requirement specifications using a variety of document formats, e.g. Word docs, flowcharts, swim lanes, wireframes, graphs, etc. Translating high-level business requirements into functional specifications for business application development. Developing user stories, use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, business rules and test cases. Position will report to headquarters in Milwaukee, WI, but duties could be performed at client sites in Los Angeles County, CA and various unanticipated work locations.
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or data science, plus 5 years of experience, which must include: 5 years of experience working with financial systems; 5 years of experience documenting data systems and historical data as needed to support migration; 5 years designing architecture to source data from 6 data systems; 4 years of experience developing reports to overcome data extraction issues; 1 year of experience building audit and error controls to meet government regulations; 1 year of experience with isolating key parameters from requirements and associating them to the appropriate standards so that the hardware responds to the level of instruction being received; 3 years of media experience, including: Analyzing data to migrate from OLTP systems to OLAP data warehouse; Designing ETL integration as part of a new application to manage royalty; Developing SSIS packages to move data between 4 different systems; Designing data migration from Sybase ASE to SQL Server; Modeling both logical and physical models in Erwin; Managing all enhancement and bug fix tickets in ClearQuest; Bring different stakeholders together and direct joint application development (JAD) sessions to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page and there are no roadblocks; Building data migration test scripts.
